Cross Country
I love running, it's exhilarating, and exciting, and such a great way to release of emotions. I've been running since 7th grade, and I'm starting my junior year. Therefor, I've been running for almost 5 years now, and I'm still loving it. Even with recent injured knees, I still run. They may be weak, but they can deal with a couple minutes of being uncomfortable. Growing up I've heard it all from, "why do you run" to "no one likes running". If anyone has ever been to a cross country invitational, they would never say no one runs. I guess you have to experience running in a cross country meet to understand. That adrenaline rush in the beginning, when that gun goes off, it's the best feeling in the world. Also, the rush in the end, it's hard to describe. I, myself, cry at the end of cross country meets. I remember how proud I was at this one meet last year, right before the end I slid in a bunch of mud and fell. I scraped my knee, got back up, and kept running. I was upset because I could have had a better time if it wasn't for that, but I was also proud. Getting muddy like that. I knew I tried my best, falling or no falling.
